It’s not the candidate that is the most qualified that is offered the job.
The candidate that lands the offer is the one that is the most prepared for the interview process.
Real Feedback
Read any posts on this blog, and you can be assured, I will tell you the truth about your resume and your interview answers. You will have the confidence that I won’t deliver any watered down feedback, or be the politically correct HR practitioner that needs to do it by the book. I work with all candidates. From recent graduates to C – Level Executives. Together we can craft a beautiful and relevant document that you can submit to a hiring company with 110% confidence. I not only know what makes a winning resume, more importantly, my experience gives me insight into why cover letters and resumes are declined. Together we can review your resume and make it the most an easy to read and digestible set of documents.
Resume and LinkedIn profile review
Recruiters are reviewing 100’s of resumes for a single position. Unfortunately, they will only call on a very small percentage of these hopeful candidates. If you have turned in your resume and have not heard back from the hiring company, it is probably your resume and/or cover letter. Have you ever wished you could find out what a recruiter REALLY thinks about your resume? Have you ever wanted to have your resume reviewed by an internal recruiter (vs. an agency recruiter or a self-proclaimed career coach) for their feedback? I will not only work with you on creating your resume but will explain WHY we are making the edits so you understand the business logic behind the decisions. With this knowledge, you can revise the document on your own as your career progresses.
If there is one thing I don’t believe or agree with is having someone else write your resume for you without getting to know you. I also don’t believe that a really effective resume can be crafted from a standardized form. I need to talk with you, the candidate one-on-one. We will work together, to create a document you will not just be confident in but proud of. This is your life’s work. If you are not involved in the process and understand why we are including some details and NOT including others, you won’t believe in the resume. Confidence in your resume is just as important as your work experience. You will walk away knowing how to craft your document for future positions because you not only understand the process, you have worked through it.

HRNasty
nasty: an unreal maneuver of incredible technique, something that is ridiculously good, tricky and manipulative but with a result that can’t help but be admired, a phrase used to describe someone who is good at something. “He has a nasty forkball”.
